Hampshire: Our wonderful client was happy to keep the wallpaper, natural flooring and sofas which came with the house, and provided the perfect background for their wonderful Ivon Hitchins landscape. But she wanted to add a note of pink! So we commissioned cushions in sturdy linens to complement the aboriginal painting and Chinese cabinet as well as introducing some interesting patterns from Neisha Crosland and Knowles and Cristou. In the kitchen we took our palette from another painting they Brought back from Australia. Whereas in the bathrooms we gave some gave ceramic pots pride of place on the cills and used wool sateens and linen for the windows and echoed the shapes of the garden with wallpaper from Knowles and Cristou.
