Clapham: It was such a joy to begin by hanging the many paintings and art works - including a set of Spy cartoons, a Japanese robe and a stunning ceramics. We also took the blues of the watercolours of sailing boats in the main bedroom as our palette for the hand-painted wall lights, bedside tables, and window frames as well as create the illusion of panels to break up the walls. In one of the bathrooms we laid hardwearing ‘unnatural sisal,’ commissioned the basin cabinet from Irish firm Porter and the blind from Lewis and Wood who digitally print their wonderful linens in their Woodchester Mill near Stroud
